Airstream Boutique Hotel You Say?? Here Are Our Five Faves!

The Airstream is having a moment these days....and there are several boutique Airstream hotels popping up all over the country.    We wrote about one in our blog on Marfa, Texas....but never fear, if there is another state you would rather check out, we have you covered below!

Let's start our tour in Ojai, California where Caravan Outpost has ten different options for you to select from.   Each can sleep between 1-4 adults, so perfect for a weekend with the kids or perhaps a weekend away from the kids - your call.   😎 All come with kitchens inside for light cooking as well.   The location is primo, just a ten minute walk to the heart of Ojai.   So explore the town and head back for S'mores around the campfire each night.....a fun day had by all!

If you want to be closer to the water, about 15 miles away is Waypoint Ventura, right off the 101 Highway.  They have around 20 trailers to rent, including some that can sleep 4 adults or more.   One cool thing they offer to their guests are bikes to explore the area.   Hit the beach, explore Downtown Ventura, the options are limitless!   There are many property activities to meet other guests including S'mores at the fire pit (S'mores is a common theme here.....not a bad theme, I suppose!)  Oh, and if you want to BYO your own Airstream, that's an option too!

Up north in the Russian River Valley (about 90 minutes from San Francisco) check out Autocamp.  Located in the Sonoma Redwoods, this is luxe Airstream life, in our opinion.   The Airstreams are very new and have luxury linens, towels....the same as you would find in a typical boutique hotel.   Featuring Ursa Major skincare products, you know you are going to be taken care of!   You can walk or bike to the River and downtown Guerneville to checkout an array of shops and restaurants.

Up in the Willamette Valley, Oregon, The Vintages offers 35 trailers with 23 different styles.  Some date back to the 1940s and 50s!   Even if the trailers themselves are "retro," all of the them come with luxe robes and linens and comfy matresses.  This is wine country, so hit a few wineries bring back a few bottles and relax!  🍷

I know we have been focused on the West Coast so far, so want to give some love over to the other side of the U.S.A as well!  The June Bug Retro Resort located in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina has 10 campers on their property that can sleep between 2 and 6 guests each.  Hammocks are available for relaxing and they have this really cool tree house which guests can check out during the day!  The resort is only open from May thru October, so keep that in mind as you start making your plans!

So there you have it - for those on the fence, we say give an Airstream a shot - it's a fun way to see some of the best parts of the country in a relaxing yet modern way!   See you soon on the road!
